Beijing! China! Tomorrow! Rock & Roll! Work does have its perks and this was one, a 1 day field trip to the Beijing Auto show back in November. Even though we were actually on the plane longer than we were on the ground (15 hours each way), it was still awesome. As far as I could tell, China's a country of real contrasts, pretty crazy, loads of building, lots of polution. And questionable copyright laws. Clockwise from top left: A car called the 'Wingle', go figure; Me and Sharon try out the local cuisine; Dave, Steve and Ondrej, Smokin'!; Skyscrapers; Kicking back; Me and Breony styling it; Mix, a slice of Beijing nightlife; Chinese Action man; Barney & Guy from Uni, random meeting; Rich and Mao's motor; 'It's a Merc, right?' Wrong!; In the middle: This was cool - the guy pouring tea from the most crazy long necked teapot ever; Tasty tasty; Breony agrees; Haulin', Chinese style.

Well, this is the penultimate in my series of global adventures. Woo Woo. These are just some pix from the media drive of my car at the old grand prix circuit at Estoril, near Lisbon in Portugal. I was there a week, and I've got the scar to prove it (that's another story...). Got to see precisely nothing of Portugal, apart from the trip to the airport. Typical. Anyway, clockwise from the top left: The car outside the garage in the pits; me wide eyed before being scared witless by Alain Menu in the real thing; Dimirti, wonderful fellow; Car drawing a crowd, so proud; Car; Me in with lunatic Alain; Cheesy one at the hotel; Car, Roar!; Hotel was awesome; 2 of the Japanese techs, smiling as always, great people.
