Positively 4th Street
We started at 10:30pm. Me and Kev met these 2 Yank chicks and tagged along with them because we had forgotten to bring a torch and they had one. They held us up a bit, beause they are girls and we are Men (well I think they held Kevin up, but I'm actually a really unfit wuss, so its was all fine with me. I just look good). But it was all good, we all made it in time for the Sunrise and had a good laugh along the way. If you can call getting knackered and frostbitten a good laugh.....
Mt Fuji. The famous mountain of mystery. Actually a bit of a slag heap (if you've been to Wales or Scotland, you'll know what I mean). Very tall, crater on the top, but no snow. Bit of an experience, can't say I loved it, and the sunrise wasn't that amazing, but something to remember. The fact that you had to literally que almost all the way to the top makes you realise how many people live in this country. Or, how many people in this country are actually crazy enough to want to come up here at 4am on a saturday morning. They had vending machines at the top. Need I say more?
Wow, look at all those faces! Clock from the top left again: James, Brendan & Quang cheese it up at the Shibuya crossing / Me and Tri - he's such a happy boy / Classy - yeah right / The famous New York Grill at the Park Hyatt - seen Lost in Translation / Me and Kev the Kiwi in New York. Awesome food, felt a little 'Lost' / Me, Jimmy, Charkey and Brendan. Cheezu! / Brendan crashes the photo op, before getting thrown (literally) of stage / Quang and Brendan at the chinese place - terrible buffet. Finally, me in the middle in the hotel - how narcissistic am I?
Various photos of recent events. Clockwise from the top left: Me, James and Rich chillin' / the way they do washing in a hotel, gotta love the way its all wrapped up like new / Peter B in Shibuya / Peter B hangin' with the Hachiko Dog statue / random Kanji / Cool bike huh? I reckon / Shinjuku's crazy back streets / that is actually a locksmith. In the back of a truck. Open at 11pm on a saturday night. Go figure / In the middle, Ebina, where I stayed for a month. I took this photo, because it was the only time in the whole month that I saw those hills. Foggy.
Some shots of the famous (well, apparently) Tokyo Metrolpolitan Government Tower. Pretty cool, went up here one saturday a few weeks ago. Its free to go up, and I think its about 70 or so floors. Apparently its architecturally based on the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. I reckon its a lie, because I didn't see any hunchbacks.
